Vanity by Jopen #8

You may remember a few months back when I reviewed the Nessie look alike vibe from the Jopen line. The Vanity #8 is another of the vibes in the Jopen line. It, too, is a rechargeable and waterproof vibrator that has dual motors, one in each end.  It comes in the same fuchsia color (more pink than the stock photo) and has a black storage bag.  The outside of the vibe is silicone, so it is body safe and easy to clean.

There are two buttons to control this vibe, one for each motor.  They are activated with a single push which results in the lowest steady vibration and the button illuminates in red.  The buttons are located just off to the center towards the thicker end of the vibe.  To increase the vibration strength, press and hold the button (either button or both buttons).  When it has reached the highest setting it will have a solid red light.  You can release the button anywhere in between the lowest and highest setting for the other strengths.  To turn the vibrations off, it takes a single push of the illuminated button.  You can choose the vibration strengths for each end and have one or both on at any given time.

The vibrations of the Vanity #8 are concentrated in each end of the vibrator, so wherever you place it will get the most vibration.  The vibrations are the high buzzy kind as opposed to the deep thuddy type and range from a 1 in intensity to about a  7.5 in intensity.  I really liked the look of the curve on this vibrator when I first checked it out.  It has a nice arch that is firm so you can apply a good amount of pressure (which I am a big fan of).  The smaller end reminds me in shape of a flower bud.  It looks kind of sweet and delicate whereas the bigger end looks more phallic and down for serious business.  The silicone is velvety smooth with a single small raised seam that runs around the center (length-wise) of the vibe.  The seam is subtle enough that I haven’t noticed it in use at all.

I’ve used both ends for insertion and clit stimulation and I have to say that I prefer the big end for my clit and the small end for insertion.  This seems totally opposite to what I would expect, especially with my increasing love for bigger girth toys.  But…I have my reasons.  I feel like the smaller end takes more concentration for me to keep it on my clit when I’m using it just for that.  The bigger end makes it impossible to miss my clit and I can put pressure all over my clit.  Now, if I’m going from clit to vag?  The small end is great fun!  That nice little bulb at the end glides easily with a little water-based lube.  It allows for a little rubbing against my clit and then some easy thrusting vaginally.  The arch and length are enough to hit my g-spot, though I think I’d like it better for g-spot stimulation if the vibrations were thuddier.  During insertion, I like to turn the vibrations up to the highest vibration.  If I’m just using the Vanity #8 on my clit, I only turn it about half to three quarters of the way up.  The vibe can get pretty slippery once lubed and I have had a few instances where I hit the buttons and accidentally turned the vibrations off at an inopportune time.  This wasn’t a major issue, but it can happen.

This is a waterproof vibe, so clean up is easy.  Easy clean up is a major plus in my opinion.  As I mentioned earlier, water-based lubes work great with this and are the only kind that should be used.  Once you’re done playing, you can rinse all that lube off with some warm water and anti-bacterial soap.  This can be patted dry or air dried and then stored in the included bag.

If you’d like to try the Vanity #8 for yourself, order one from FunWares. Your vibe will be shipped discreetly and securely in a brown box that has no indication of what’s inside. You can feel comfortable ordering from them with their discretion, great customer service, and quick shipping.
