The minute I saw this dildo I wanted…no, needed it. I mean, look at it! This is the Rippler, a silicone dildo from Good Vibrations. They have a wonderful line of amazingly firm dildos that are harness compatible and this is no exception. Of course, I wanted the green one. The color of the picture is a perfect match to the actual product, so I’m in love. It actually has a really pretty metallic swirl in it which makes it even better.
As you can see, there is a lot of texture to this dildo with raised rings all the way down. If you look at the arched curve side, there are a line of ‘V’s where the rings meet their other side. It mimics the penis head shape at the top, so it is really like having a dildo with 6 penis head ridges. The first pop of a cock’s head sliding inside is one of my favorite feelings, but I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a dildo full of them. As it turns out…I’m a fan.
But first, lets talk specs! From base to tip, the Rippler is 7.25 inches long. The diameter of this dildo increases as you move down the shaft. The smaller diameter is 1 5/8 inch and the larger range is 1 7/8 inch. So it isn’t a huge dildo, but with all that texture the size is pretty perfect. Each ridge is approximately an inch apart, so it isn’t long before you’re feeling the next one during use.
As with all dildos, I like to warm up a bit before I start with insertion. I usually snag the current vibrator I’m reviewing or my current favorite (the Angelo) and start out with some clit stimulation to get a little of my own wetness going. Once I feel ready for insertion I grab the dildo, lube it up and get to it. This is how all my sessions with the Rippler start. I slide it in and with each inch that goes in I get a lovely little pop of the ridge. The ridges are wonderfully rounded, so there is no discomfort as they slide in and out. The curve…oooh, the curve. I love a good curve in a dildo. The Rippler‘s curve is a bit subtle to look at but the firmness of the silicone makes that at moot point. The girth allows for me to thrust easily, as quickly and roughly as I’d like. Yes, it is firm, but I’ve never felt like I would bruise myself during use. The firmness combined with the curve works pretty well for g-spot stimulation but I have to say this is a dildo I turn to when I’m craving texture more than anything else.
The Rippler is made of silicone, so you should only use a water-based lubricant with it. It can be cleaned with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, by boiling, or by throwing in the top shelf of the dishwasher (minus soap). Its really a low maintenance dildo, though it does tend to attract lint and hair like other silicone products.
Thank you to Good Vibrations for providing this for review…and even getting me the color I wanted. Get yourself a Rippler and enjoy a bumpy ride!
