I reviewed Jessica Drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex: Fellatio a while back and found it to actually be pretty interesting and even to have a few tips I hadn’t thought of. So when her new film Jessica Drakes Guide to Wicked Sex: Anal came out I wanted to check it out as well. The movies are intended to be informative and educational as well as arousing and they reach their goal.
As with the Fellatio movie, Jessica Drakes Guide to Wicked Sex: Anal starts out with Jessica talking you through what you’ll be seeing and hearing about in the film. She then introduces you to real porn star couples talking about anal sex: how they got into it, what they like about it, and how to do it. The couples interviewed are Dana DeArmond and Ramon Nomar and Asa Akira and Mr. Marcus. They talk about their first experiences with anal sex, why they think men like anal sex, the fears they had, preparation, preferences with what’s used for anal sex, and lubricants.
I love the interview sessions because everything they talked about were things I thought about, worried about, or wondered about when I was new to anal sex. Asa Akira says that the most important thing is being turned on and I agree with that sooo much. I know from my own personal experience that anal sex was not even an option until I started becoming turned on by the idea and then turned on in the moment. The more turned on I am, the better it is. Which is usually the case for most things.
After the interviews, Jessica talks about preparing for anal play. Some of the things she talks about include exterior cleaning, shaving, and enemas. There is even a separate clip about enemas because she realizes that a lot of viewers may not be up for that early on. Then she briefly talks about analingus and then Dana DeArmond and Ramon Nomar demonstrate the technique. Jessica also talks about external anal stroking without penetration in this segment. Asa Akira and Mr. Marcus then also demonstrate working up to anal play with body worship.
The scene returns to Jessica and she discusses moving in to penetrative play. The first step is using fingers and she also suggests gloves and lubricant if desired. Gloves aren’t necessary but can be a nice option if your partner has nice manicured nails that they want to keep from causing injury. If you put a little bit of cotton in the tips of your glove you can have long nails and still do digital anal play (a tip I actually got from a Tristan Taormino book). We return to the couples who demonstrate different digital stimulation techniques.
After fingering comes toys. I wasn’t too impressed with Jessica’s advice on toys. She talks about porous toys and washing toys or using a condom…but she never mentions non-porous toys or the materials that are non-porous and often preferable for anal play like silicone, glass, or metal. Also…the toy selection the camera pans over is not filled with toys I’d run out and buy. I guess this video is intended for beginners and some of the toys would work well for them, I just feel like there could have been at least a few more quality toys. I also wish she had mentioned the importance of a flared base on toys. She talked about testing toys like anal beads that could come apart, but flared bases are just as important. The toys include anal beads, plugs, dildos, and vibrators. The couples demonstrate their uses.
Jessica takes a moment to talk about condoms and their importance. Next up is numbing creams, and I’m so glad Jessica takes the stance she does on them. Numbing creams can cause injury without realizing it in the moment. They’re just a risk not worth taking. If you take your time, you’ll be fine and happier for it. Also, something I commend Jessica for is pointing out that porn doesn’t show the warm up that anal sex requires and that you shouldn’t expect your experience to match with what you see in a movie.
Next, we return to couples interviews to find out what positions they prefer. Turns out you can do it in pretty much every position and its all about what you like. Then Jessica has the couples show you how to get started with initial insertion of the penis. This is the stuff they don’t show in porn, the slow warm up before the hard pounding you often see.
The next portion features a real life couple, Lyla and Jeremy, who were anal novices. They talk about their initial experience and what they learned from it and then begin to explore each other on camera. They volunteered for the experience and to be able to learn and share what they’ve learned. they have a full scene from start to finish showing how they work up to anal sex with a penis.
After the educational portion there are two ‘hardcore’ scenes that you can watch featuring the experienced couples. The first scene is Dana and Ramon. They start out kissing and touching which soon evolves into a 69 position that includes anal and vaginal stimulation for Dana. Dana is extremely flexible and eventually ends up with her knees up by her ears as Ramon gives her a rim job before returning to oral. Dana also provides oral before they start having anal sex in various positions. The scene ends with Ramon coming on her butt. The second scene stars Asa Akira and Mr. Marcus. They take a similar route of oral for each other, adding anal fingering for Asa. They start out with vaginal sex and the move on to anal and finish with a blow job where Mr. Marcus comes on her tongue.. Dana’s scene was definitely the more hardcore of the two.
The bonus enema scene is done by Dana DeArmond. She talks about the supplies you need and what to do with the supplies. She demonstrates favorite positions for inserting water. She even squeezes water from the bottle and demonstrates giving herself an actual enema. She kind of cracks me up in this scene because of the way she enunciates things.
So my thoughts? A great video for beginners or anyone who’s curious about anal play. Even getting a short demonstration on enemas was helpful to me, an experienced anal enjoyer. Dana DeArmond is amazingly sexy, as always and even the novice couple was enjoyable to watch.
