It wasn’t that long ago that I wasn’t sure how I felt about anal sex. I had interest, I had desire, but I also had fear and the pressure from social beliefs that it is wrong and dirty. That last one is kind of a double edged sword, really…I mean wrong and dirty? Yep, that can definitely equal hot and sexy! Of course, now I’m definitely a fan of anal sex. I can’t help but think that if I wasn’t already, after reading this book, I would be interested.

This book is full of stories that range in experience from anal amateurs to anal experts. And they’re hot stories. Let me tell you about a few of my favorites.

Something Dirty by Erica Dumas- The main character is a female bartender and while she’s working she sees Trey. Trey is a biker and lingers through her shift, even helping her with some slightly unruly customers. Once the shift ends she agrees to go for a ride with him and they end up in a secluded location. This leads to some semi-public sex that involving the use of his motorcycle as a prop. She gets off during vaginal sex and then again during anal and the whole time she is loving the ‘dirtiness’ of the whole thing. This story isn’t full of BDSM in a traditional sense but there is an essences of restraint in parts. I love the hotness of the near-stranger sex in one of the most intimate ways, at least to me.

Sometimes It’s Better to Give by Bryn Haniver- Julie and Gerry have a few weeks to themselves while their kids are away at summer camp. Julie demands that she wants something different and they decide to go shopping. She wants to give instead of receive for once and as they’re looking at the toys at the store she becomes inspired. They end up with 2 strap-ons, one for her husband and one for the babysitter Amber. Luckily, Amber is completely up for the task. The night turns into an amazing experiment of Gerry getting fucked anally and Julie getting to give to both him and Amber. In the end, everyone ends up in a sweaty orgasm heap…and then Amber sweetly suggests that she get a turn sometime in the next three weeks. I love how this story brings to light that marriage and kids does not equal the end of adventurous and experimental sex.

Selling Point by Carl Kennedy- Mr. Simmons is in the market for a new house and Michelle is showing him around one that looks promising. When they got to the basement he discovers a hidden room that contains a St. Andrews cross and a full collection of implements and toys. Happily, Mr. Simmons finds that Michelle is flushed and excited by what they find. Pretty soon, she’s strapped to the cross and they are trying out the different tools they’ve discovered. This is probably the most BDSM of the stories in the book and it is definitely a lovely treat.

The Captain’s Walk by Dominic Santi- The main character inherits a bed and breakfast from his godfather that is reportedly haunted by the boat Captain who used to live there. He doesn’t believe in ghosts but allows the story to perpetuate because it is good for business. One night, he is roused by this ghost he didn’t believe in and is told to take a wooden phallus and fit it to a chair that is in his room. He submits his will to the imposing and handsome ghost of the Captain and is slowly trained to take the sizeable phallus anally. His encounters with the ghost leave him tired, drained in every way and sated. Eventually he graduates to a different kind of phallus after an encounter that shows the caring side of the Captain and he finds that his godfather left him so much more than just a bed and breakfast.

Worth It by Alison Tyler- Gina and Byron have been together for a while, long enough that he’s taken the big leap and asked her to marry him…but not with the ring she had picked out. He actually gave her a ring that cost $500 as opposed to the $12,000 ring he took her to Tiffany’s and let her pick out. This gets Gina thinking. There’s something else Byron has been denying her even though he’s done it before himself. Anal sex. She’s asked for it, tried to seduce him into it and even gone so far as to beg for it. His refusal, calling it dirty and beneath Gina while telling her how much it will hurt, only makes her more determined and then eventually leads to fights of frustration. Finally, Gina decides to take things into her own hands. All this denial has her wanting the experience even more than she ever has and Byron’s friend Josh seems just the one to give it to her. She flirts and teases him and Byron never notices. Finally, they get together and she tells him what she wants..and he gives it to her. This is when she realizes how wrong Byron was. In the end, she makes a decision that is best for both of them. She’s always want what he wasn’t willing to give and that’s no way to live.

Anal sex isn’t a sex act limited to BDSM but there is definitely an element of submission to it, no matter what the setting. This is a sex act that is often forbidden and seen as a privilege to many when they get to do it. So far, my personal experiences with anal sex have been very intimate, while being hot and dirty. This book makes me think about and kind of crave something more, something on the next level in the anal sex forum. Which saying that makes me laugh and wonder what that even means, but the point is this book isn’t just hot, it will get your mind rolling on ideas of the fun and depraved things you can do.

A couple months ago, Epiphora announced to the world the return of Jollies toys from Chavez Dezignz. This was huge news to anyone who has been around the sex toy world long enough to remember their unique toys that are designed based on the anatomical shapes of the body. Case in point: the Luna. The Jollies Luna was molded from an actual rectum to create a toy that fits and stays perfectly in place during use. But what is just as exciting than a different shape? All the awesome color options they come in! The Luna comes in a ‘regular’ or ‘deluxe’ version. The regular comes in solid colors of black, blue, green, red, pink and purple while the deluxe comes in fun colors like sparkle and polka dot. My Luna is a polka dot one and it is super cute.

The first thing I noticed when I got my Luna was how long it was. It’s much longer than a lot of anal toys with a total of 6 inches, 5 of those being insertable. The diameter is 1.5 inches at the widest part with the rounded tip being a bit thinner. I love the base on this plug, it is a 2.75 inch by 2 inch oval shape with scalloped edges and a grainier texture than the smooth body to help with grip. This is an amazing and unique feature, in my opinion. Most toys are smooth all over and when your hands are lubed, look out!

In use, there are some positives and negatives but mostly positives. I find it best to start with a smaller plug for warm up or at the least some finger warm ups and slow insertion. And lots of lube of course! Once the Luna is fully inserted it provides a nice full feeling. Due to the length of this plug, when it is all the way in the tip hit really deep. It is almost uncomfortable at first but not in a painful way, in an intense way. If you don’t have it all the way in the design kind of works against you and if you aren’t sitting or laying down it could slip out. But, when it is all the way in and you start jacking yourself off it feels great. That big bump where the curve is crazy perfect. When I get off with this in it stays in, as advertised and allows that full feeling to remain while I just ride the wave of orgasm. So really the only negative is that this is a tad long for my anatomy. I feel like if it was just a half an inch shorter it would be absolutely perfect. This isn’t a plug that I would wear to walk around or for prolonged wear. I feel that its purpose is intended for use during masturbation or sex, but your mileage may vary.
The Luna and all other Jollies toys are made of silicone. As you know, I am a big fan of silicone, especially in anal toys because they can be boiled to sanitize them. They can also be cleaned with warm water and anti-bacterial soap for daily use. Jollies has some other anal toy options as well as some vaginal toys that are based on the shape of the vagina. And what’s even cooler is that they can actually make a dildo with just about anything that can be suspended in silicone inside. If you look at their vaginal toys you will see they currently offer custom Jollets. I haven’t tried the Jollet yet but it is definitely on my list! I can’t wait to see what fun designs they come out with. I’m pretty excited to see what they may do for Halloween.

The Luna is a very unique plug that defintely adds a new option to my toy box, as well as some fun color. If you haven’t checked out all their products yet, get over there and start dreaming up the fun things you’d want in a dildo! (A dildo filled with tiny dildos, anyone?)

Blossom Organics Warm Sensation Lubricant

In the past, I tested Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant and thought it was a decent lube, so when their warming lube became available for review, I thought I’d check it out. Babeland carries it in a 4 oz tube with a flip top that is purple and white like all of Blossom Organics’ products. The best part about this lube (and all Blossom Organics lubes) is that it is body safe containing no parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, glycerin, alcohol, hormones, pesticides, artificial dyes, flavorings or fragrances.

From the Blossom Organics website, the ingredients for this product are:

Organic aloe barbadensis leaf extract, sorbitol, hydroxyethylcellulose, hyaluronic acid, organic stevia rebaudiana extract, tocopherol (vitamin E), sodium citrate, potassium sorbate, organic mentha piperita (peppermint) essential oil, organic extracts of paeonia albiflora (peony) root & passiflora incarnata flower.

The ingredient that makes this a warming lube is the peppermint oil. When you first apply this lube, it feels like any other lube. The temperature doesn’t start to rise until you start to create friction. The lube itself is clear and a bit watery, so be careful when applying. It definitely feels slippery and smooth. During a test between my fingers, I find this lube to dry out a bit quicker than my Sliquid Sassy lube but I don’t notice any drying when using it vaginally. I credit this to the natural lubrication that is added to it and helps to keep it going. As with any water-based lubricant, if you do notice it drying out it will reactivate with some water. The warmth generated from the lube isn’t overwhelming or harsh by any means. It actually starts out subtle and then comes to a nice banked heat that is really natural and sexy feeling.

I noticed no problems after using this lube. I can sometimes be sensitive to different lubricants but this one was not a problem. The Blossom Organics Warming Lube also washes away cleanly and easily with a little soap and water.

So, my Sliquid Sassy has not been dethroned as my favorite lube (I prefer a nice thick lube that won’t run or drip) but the Blossom Organics Warming Lube is definitely the best warming lube I’ve tried. I love that it is designed to be so safe for the delicate ecosystem of a woman’s vag and is still effective in its purpose. If you’re looking for a great warming lube, I’d say this is it.

Be sure to check out the other Blossom Organics products that Babeland carries as well as all the toys you can pick up to use them with! I personally always love to grab a toy or two to ride along with my lube when I need to re-order.

Tenga Eggs Heart

Tenga Eggs were one of the coolest things in the world of male masturbation when they first burst onto the sex toy scene. They’re still very cool and I love introducing my guy friends to them. But these little eggs aren’t just for men anymore! I wrote a review about a year ago the first time I tried a Tenga Egg on my Hitachi and I still find it to be a great way to get an new sensation from a classic toy that will never go out of style.

How exactly does this work? Well, when guys use these eggs (intended for single use) they remove them from the little egg container apply the included lube and then insert their penis into the hole on the bottom. The texture of the egg, which is displayed on the wrapper of the hard egg, is on the inside of the soft and stretchy TPE material. So, for our Hitachi purposes we simply turn the egg inside out and stretch over the head of the Hitachi, exposing the texture to the outside. Now when you turn it on, the texture will vibrate against your skin.

I love the way this feels because the TPE is so soft. This is intended as a single use item but if you wash it and dry it well you can get a few uses out of the egg (wash with warm water and anti-bacterial soap). The raised little hearts in this texture definitely feel different from the raised ridges I’ve had from other textures. Here’s a picture of the inside texture:

As you can see, there are small hearts as well as a few bigger hearts filled with increasingly smaller hearts. I don’t think I can really feel a difference between the different types of hearts at the speed the Hitachi vibrates. What I do feel is a wonderful soft fluttering that caresses my vag as it gets me off. Yes it is soft, but it is also so strong and perfect when paired with the Hitachi. I can still get the firm pressure I want sometimes even with this little sleeve on but with some added cushioning.

The Tenga Eggs come in a variety of textures and I recommend that you get a couple different ones to try out to see what you like. If you aren’t sure they’ll be your cup of tea (but, come on, they will be!!) then snag some for your guy and swipe one form his collection. Maybe even show him how you use it. Then you’ll both be fans.

I love when I can find a beautiful sex toy that also works how its supposed to. The Crystal Delights Small Clear Plug definitely fits into that category. My plug has the Aurora Borealis crystal in the end, which is amazingly hypnotic. Pictures really don’t do it justice. This is an anal plug, but the classiest of anal plugs out there.

This plug measures 3.3 inches long and 1.4 inches in diameter at the widest point. It has a skinny neck that is approximately 1 inch long and a nice flared base that holds the crystal. Crystal Delights has another slightly bigger plug if these dimensions aren’t your cup of tea. Visually, there are no flaws to be seen, even where the crystal is attached to the plug. The glass is completely smooth and clear with no bubbles or bumps.

Let me tell you why I love this plug. Yes. Love. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it is the perfect size for warm up or prolonged wear. This plug inserts easily with some well placed lube and slides in with little effort or warm up. With that being said, it isn’t like I don’t feel it when it is inserted. It is just comfortable. The wide base takes a little time to get used to feeling (I’m talking minutes, not extended time to get used to it) but it is comfortable to walk with or sit with. And it looks pretty while its in. I can’t help but check my bum out when I have it in…its so pretty. So it goes in easy, looks nice, what else is there? Oh yeah, it feels great during use with other toys too! Sometimes longer plugs press against dildos when I insert them vaginally in a kind of ‘fighting each other’ way. This plug is shorter and doesn’t work against whatever else I’m doing. I love feeling full both anally and vaginally and the Crystal Delights Small Plug definitely lets me achieve that.

Caring for these plugs is also very simple. From the Crystal Delights website, care in their own words:

Pyrex glass is nonporous so clean up is a breeze. Soap and water work fine. Or you can wipe it down with a lint-free towel moistened with peroxide, rubbing alcohol or a 10% bleach solution. Generally speaking you can sterilize Pyrex glass toys in boiling water or the dishwasher. However, boiling is not recommended in this case, because that would jeopardize the embedded crystal or glass medallion.

Icicles No. 20

I’ve tested several glass dildos now so I thought it was time to test a glass vibrator. FunWares carries the Icicles No. 20 which is basically a glass sleeve over a vibrator. From bottom to top, this vibrator measures 7.25 inches long and approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Those blue swirls you see are raised ridges that run around the body.

This is a waterproof vibrator so it can be taken into the shower or bath. It runs on 2 AA batteries that are inserted by unscrewing the black plastic cap. The black cap also houses the control for the vibration which is your basic dial (turn clockwise to turn it on or increase vibration and counter-clockwise to decrease vibration or shut it off). The only vibrations this offers are steady vibrations.

I’m a little disappointed in the look of the Icicles No. 20. The glass sleeve itself is pretty but you can easily see the glue that was used to attach the sleeve to a basic traditional vibrator. It cheapens the look and just irks me. It seems like a better glue for the job or even a little more time placing the glue could have made this look a lot better than it does. You can see the glue near the bottom (as pictured above) and again just below the ridge of the ‘penis’ head.

This is also a fairly noisy vibrator, which isn’t very surprising since the vibrator itself is a basic traditional vibrator. I would say that the vibration strength varies from 2 to 7 in strength when you are holding it in your hand. When inserted, the glass seems to muffle the vibrations some and so they don’t feel as strong. I do love the feel of the smooth head though. It feels great sliding over my clit and nice sliding in. Those blue swirls, on the other hand are not really to my taste. They are thin and raised and that makes them a little scratching feeling. They don’t hurt, but they don’t add anything to the experience. In my opinion, they would work better if they were lower profile and part of the main body, as opposed to laid over it.

So this isn’t my favorite by any stretch of the imagination. I think my glass dildo preferences lean towards a smoother body with gently raised texture. If temperature play is your favorite part of glass play, don’t worry, you can still get that from this vibrator. The best way to do this is to run the vibrator under cool or warm water to reach your target temperature. Warm water and anti-bacterial soap is the best way to clean this product between uses.

Reviewing sex toys is a lot of fun for a lot of different reasons. One of those reasons is getting to try great new products like the Tantus Luke. This is another of Tantus’ O2 line which is a dual density silicone line that is touted to give a ‘realistic feel’. What does ‘dual density mean’? It means that there is a firm core with a softer outer layer of silicone. The more of the O2 line I try, the more I love.

In pictures, Luke may not look like much but this dildo is impressively girthy. Measuring at 2 inches in diameter, this dildo will satisfy both size queens and those who don’t know they’re size queens yet. The soft outer layer of silicone keeps the girth from being overwhelming for those who aren’t accustomed to bigger dildos. And it just feels so good. The total length of the Luke is 7 inches with 6 of those inches being insertable. There is a flared base and some lovely balls that make this harness compatible and safe for anal sex. I love the balls because they are the perfect handle during use.

Using this dildo definitely requires lube and/or warm-up. I can use this with lube after a warm-up orgasm or after warming up with other toys, but either way lube is a must. Water-based lube, that is. If you have a silicone lube you’d prefer to use, just make sure to spot test it on the base before applying all over, as some silicones will have a negative reaction to each other. But back to using this dildo….I love it. Because of its size, the Luke makes itself known immediately upon insertion. I have to admit I get just as much pleasure from having just the tip of this dildo inserted while using a vibrator as I do from thrusting with it. I love the way it stretches and fills me. As I mentioned, the balls are the perfect handle for thrusting. They’re easy to hold on to and long enough to make gripping them comfortable. And thrusting with the Luke is amazing as well.

The Luke is a very realistic dildo, complete with veins and skin wrinkles. The veins are more visually effective than they are physically effective. I don’t notice them at all during use, but I don’t mind that at all. What I do notice is how firm and amazing it feels as a whole.

As with all silicone dildos, hair and lint can be an issue. To keep your Luke clean, you can wash it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap. If you would like to sterilize it, you can place it in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.

So, yes, I love the Luke. It is a great realistic dildo to have added to my collection and one I definitely recommend. It makes me even more curious about the Vixen Creations Randy that I have been eying for some time. I think it is safe to say that I can sometimes be a size queen these days.

This is the FOU. Its a bright yellow vibrator (also comes in a bright red) that has a weird little mouth thing at the top. I quickly nicknamed it ‘Pacman’ after I got it in the mail. The FOU is one of Fun Factory’s new vibrators that feature the click n’ charge magnetic charging to allow for a waterproof toy. This line of vibrators ranges from realistic looking toys like the Big Boss to the quirky UFO. I know from my experience with the Big Boss that these vibrators can pack a major punch of power so I decided to give this wacky looking vibe a try.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box for this neon toy is how small it is. It easily sits in the palm of my hand and is nicely curved to make it easy to hold on to. The FOU only measures 3 inches tall and approximately 2.25 inches in diameter. It is kind of adorable in its smallness. The yellow portion of the FOU is made of silicone, which you know I love, and the white part is hard plastic. The white portion of the FOU is where the control buttons are housed. There is also a silver ‘Fun’ on the white portion which is where you line up the charger. The charger is easy if temperamental in use. You just line up the word ‘fun’ on the charger with the ‘fun’ on the bottom of the toy. You’ll know its working when the charger lights up red. The temperamental part is when you go to lay it down. You have to make sure that when you lay the FOU down that it doesn’t press against the charger and cause it to lose contact. Not too hard to manage, but annoying that its an issue. I feel like a stronger magnet would solve this issue.

The three buttons on the bottom of the FOU control the vibration strength and patterns. There is a ‘+’ sign and a ‘-’ sign as well as an ‘*’. As you’d guess, the ‘+’ sign turns the vibrations on and then increases the strength and the ‘-’ decreases and turns it off. There are 6 steady vibration strengths that start off at a low medium strength and gradually increase to a handy-buzzy high. The ‘*’ button will take you to the vibration patterns. The first pattern is a fast pulse that operates at the highest vibration intensity. The other 3 patterns are wave type patterns, the first being a faster version and the other getting progressively slower and drawn out. You can return to the steady vibrations at any time by pressing the ‘+’ or ‘-’ button. To turn the FOU off, just press and hold the ‘-’ button. I personally love the 4th or 5th steady vibration, depending on my mood and the 3rd wave pattern that is nice and long.

The FOU definitely has some good power but the design of toy translates the vibrations a little differently. First that little mouth at the top is a good bit of fun. It flicks away at whatever you place it against and feels very nice. I personally love it more for stimulating my nipples and exploring erogenous zones than anything else. The flicking does feel great against my clit, but it doesn’t quite bring me to orgasm. The nice thing about the mouth though, is that you can squeeze it together to grip more firmly where ever you have it applied. The size and shape of the FOU allows for the entire body to be turned and used in the way that you need. I prefer a firmer pressure on my clit usually and the body of the FOU allows for me to get that. I can slide it down a little lower to access the firm side and the rub, press, or grind against it till my clit’s content.

So, yes, I like my little ‘Pacman’ vibrator. It won’t replace any of my favorites, but it does provide a unique type of stimulation that I’m happy to add to my toybox.

The FOU comes with 2 storage bags (thank you Fun Factory!!) so you can keep it safe from silicone interaction as well as from lint and hair. To clean the FOU, use warm water and anti-bacterial soap for day-to-day cleaning or a 10% bleach and 90% water solution to sanitize. This is a toy with a motor, so don’t boil it.
